Why Attend ForenSoc ’27?
Whether you are a forensic scientist, social scientist, legal professional, criminologist, psychologist, medical professional, police officer, communication scholar, academic, researcher, student, or institutional representative, ForenSoc ’27 offers a unique opportunity to engage with one of the most important interdisciplinary areas in contemporary forensic sciences: the relationship between forensic knowledge, society, justice, institutions, and human behaviour.
Taking place in Istanbul and online on 5–7 February 2027, this international hybrid conference brings together experts, professionals, researchers, and students from multiple disciplines to examine the social, legal, psychological, behavioural, institutional, communicative, and human dimensions of forensic sciences.
A Dedicated Conference for Forensic Social Sciences
ForenSoc ’27 is designed as a dedicated international academic platform for forensic social sciences.
The conference creates a space where forensic sciences, social sciences, law, criminology, psychology, sociology, medicine, policing, communication, media studies, child protection, human rights, and related fields can meet around shared questions of crime, justice, victimization, vulnerability, protection, rights, institutions, communication, and human experience.
By focusing on the social and human dimensions of forensic contexts, ForenSoc ’27 contributes to the development and visibility of forensic social sciences as an important interdisciplinary field.
Focus on Society, Justice, and Human Behaviour
ForenSoc ’27 explores the broader contexts in which forensic knowledge is produced, interpreted, communicated, and used.
The conference addresses issues such as crime, behaviour, victimization, trauma, vulnerability, testimony, institutional trust, legal responsibility, public perception, media communication, child protection, human rights, digital society, and emerging harms.
This focus allows participants to examine forensic sciences not only as technical or medical practice, but also as a field deeply connected to society, justice, institutions, and human experience.
High-Level Scientific Exchange
The conference will include keynote lectures, invited sessions, scientific presentations, panels, poster presentations, and roundtable discussions.
The scientific programme is designed to support academically grounded exchange while also addressing real-world questions faced by professionals working in forensic, legal, social, medical, psychological, communicative, and justice-related contexts.
Sessions will encourage interdisciplinary discussion and provide opportunities to explore how evidence, behaviour, institutions, rights, communication, and professional practice interact in forensic and justice-related settings.
Present Your Work
Participants are invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations.
ForenSoc ’27 welcomes research, conceptual work, legal analysis, policy-oriented studies, practice-based contributions, case discussions, and interdisciplinary perspectives related to forensic social sciences.
Accepted abstracts will be included in the digital abstract book of the conference.
Connect with an International Community
ForenSoc ’27 offers an opportunity to connect with participants from different countries, disciplines, institutions, and professional backgrounds.
The conference is designed to support academic exchange, professional dialogue, future collaboration, and the development of interdisciplinary networks in forensic social sciences.
